Tube Ace for WordPress 2.0 Released

After many months of development, Tube Ace for WordPress Plugin 2.0 has been released.

New Licensing System

The biggest change, a new licensing system powered by Easy Digital Downloads has been introduced. This will make it easier to manage your Tube Ace license(s) and download updates.

New Free Tube Theme

We released a new tube style WordPress theme called “Play” designed specifically to be used with the Tube Ace plugin. It is highly customizable, all within the native WordPress customizer located in the Admin. Best of all, it’s completely free.

Improved Mass Import Tool

The Mass Import tool has been improved, featuring field prediction for faster and less-hassle importing. The Mass Import tool allows you to import videos from a text or CSV file which can be sourced from adult sponsors / affiliate programs offering hosted mp4 or embedded videos as promotional content. These sponsors will pay you as an affiliate for sending traffic to their membership website(s) every time you refer a new member.

New Video Players

We added Video.js and Flowplayer 7 to play mp4 videos. The videos can be self-hosted or sponsor-hosted. Using videos hosted by the sponsor prevents you from receiving expensive hosting bills. Both new players are HTML5 based and can utilize additional functionality such as video or text ads.

AJAX Video Importing

Many shared hosting providers have restrictions on their servers which make it difficult to import a large number of videos. Version 2.0 added AJAX importing which can work better for these types of hosting users.

More Thumbnail Options

You can now select the number of thumbnails to import per video for each import tool. Select only a single thumbnail or as many as 16 thumbnails which will rotate when a user’s mouse hovers over the default thumbnail.

More Tag & Performer Options

When importing videos, you can add additional tags and performers names to those provided or overwrite them with newly specified ones by you.
